Since our founding in late 1993, over 400 alumni and friends of Chi Delta Tau have provided the Foundation with the backing to provide over $400,000 in direct scholarship support to over 95 students to-date, and to amass a permanent endowment valued at over $525,000 as of June 2019 to support these scholarships in perpetuity.
In 2019, our annual grants to students increased from the previous level of $22,500 to $27,500. This was made possible by our successful drive in 2018 to raise an additional endowment through a campaign conducted in memory of alumnus and co-founder of the Foundation, R. Brent Newton.
In all, the Foundation's total grant is distributed between six scholarships with five at $5,000 each being given to current members of the Fraternity, and one at $2,500 going to a Trinity student who is not a member of the Fraternity. Presently, the University's Office of Financial Aid is responsible for determining all recipients.
Founded in 1964, Chi Delta Tau is nearing 55 years of tradition at Trinity University. Throughout our history we have and will continue to be devoted to creating the very best leaders that Trinity has to offer. We develop leaders by instilling our core values of consideration, cooperation, comradeship and loyalty in every active member.
